The short version
Listening does not require an account.
Meeteor does not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. An account is optional and is used for features such as favorites and synchronized listening history.

1. About this policy
This policy applies to the Meeteor website and its installable progressive web app (together, “Meeteor”). It describes information processed when you browse stations, listen to a stream, create an account, or use account and reporting features.
2. Information Meeteor processes

3. Information kept on your device
Meeteor may keep your volume preference, recently selected station, cached station information, and pending offline actions in browser storage. Meeteor uses an authentication cookie when you sign in. Its service worker may cache public application files and an offline fallback page so the installed experience can open without a connection; account and API responses are not intentionally cached. You can clear local information using your browser or operating-system controls.
4. Direct station playback and service providers
Audio normally plays directly from the station or its streaming provider. That provider receives network information needed to send the stream, such as your IP address and user agent, and handles it under its own privacy terms. Meeteor does not rebroadcast the audio in the normal playback flow.
Meeteor also relies on infrastructure and feature providers, including hosting and security services, map and imagery providers, and Google when you choose Google sign-in. These providers may process the minimum technical information needed to supply their services and are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
5. Sharing and sale
Meeteor does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising. Information may be disclosed to service providers acting on Meeteor’s behalf, when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.
6. Retention and deletion
- Technical request and navigation records are automatically deleted after the configured retention period. The default is 90 days, and administrators may set it between 7 and 365 days.
- Favorites and account information remain until you remove them or delete your account.
- You can disable listening-history sync at any time. Doing so permanently deletes existing synchronized listening history and prevents new plays from being saved.
- Station reports may be retained as long as reasonably needed to resolve directory-quality and abuse issues.
- Radio Passport is separately opt-in. You can pause tracking while retaining progress or reset the Passport to permanently delete all progress and stamps. Temporary sessions are removed when playback stops or a new qualifying session begins.
7. Your controls and account deletion
You can manage favorites, listening-history sync, and account deletion from Your account, and manage Passport tracking or delete Passport progress from the Radio Passport. Deleting your account permanently removes the account, its favorites, listening history, and Passport data. If you cannot access your account, email [email protected] from the address associated with it for help with a deletion request.
8. Security and international processing
Meeteor uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Information may be processed in Canada and in other countries where service providers operate, which may have different data-protection laws.
9. Children
Meeteor is a general-audience radio service and is not directed to children under 13. Meeteor does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information so it can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.
10. Changes and contact
This policy may be updated as Meeteor changes. Material updates will be identified by a new effective date and, when appropriate, an in-product notice. Privacy questions can be sent to [email protected].
